Lots of people are not aware about UID card, his/her UID card status, UID card center details, usage of UID card, where to download UID form, UID card complaints center details, UID card call center’s phone number and how the govt. can make UID card more advance & provide benefits to actual beneficiary. Now we are not satisfied with the performance of Govt. of India and UID card agencies because they are treating as election card and because of it soon UID card will lose its identity.
It really a good news for our NRI brothers and sisters that finally govt. has announced to provide UID cards to all NRI.

What is UID Card? (Jobs in UID Card)
UID Card is a 12-digit unique number which the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will issue for all residents in India. UID Card will be stored in a centralized database and linked to the basic demographics and biometric information – photograph, ten fingerprints, iris and with some optional financial information of each individual. It is easily verifiable in an online, cost-effective way. So also, it is unique and robust enough to eliminate the large number of duplicate and fake identities in government and private databases the random number generated will be devoid of any classification based on caste, creed, religion and geography.
Who is UID /UIDAI?
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is an agency of the Government of India responsible for implementing the AADHAAR Card scheme (UID Card), a unique identification project. It was established in February 2009, and will own and operate the Unique Identification Number database. The authority aims to provide a unique id number to all Indians, but not smart cards or multi utility card. The authority will maintain a database of residents containing biometric and other financial data which is optional now.Usage of UID Card
As per the govt. & UIDAI authority the UID card will use as a KYC document. It is only a document for identification.

Consider UID Card as PAN card, because there is a possibility of duplicity in PAN card but with UID Card it is impossible and it really gives a relief to new tax payers.

USE UID Card as driving license and after cancellation there is no possibility to make it again from any authority across India.

The biggest advantages of UID card is to use it in election and it really saves millions to Election Commission and provide free and fair election, every youngster who will have 18th years on election day will be eligible to cast his/her vote.

Hi, its Naresh Patel from Surat. I want to know the details of the AADHAR project. Is there a forum in the AADHAR project where citizens of this country can contribute some vital inputs if they have. I have done my Master degree in PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION. Presently I am pursuing for a Phd in Unique Identification number. There are challenges, Limitations and shortfalls of this project which i want to share and it can help rectify the administrative lacunas which the authorities may not have anticipated. My theory of UID is different from the one which the govt has initiated that may encounter overlapping and duplication accompanied with a tiresome and costly prospect.
My thoery is simple. One number for all the services of the government, be it central, State, district or local government. I may have the same number for my passport, driving licence, pan no, pf number, election ID number and any other service one can think of. Simple yet confusing. This is possible as i have deviced a codified programme that can make this happen. This is one comment which Mr Nandan should read or else he may regret is lifelong. A malfunctioning clock shows the right time once a day. We cannot deny this fact

Hi, I am from Bangalore. I wish to write to Mr.Nandan Nilekani about my grievance.
My self and my wife had applied for Aadhar Card in May 2011. My wife had got her Aadhar No. in September. (her gender is marked as male), wheras I am yet to get my Aadhar Card. Whenever I contact the Toll Free number to verify the status, I keep getting a standard reply/ message that my card is under process. Please let me know whether I should apply again or should I wait. For How Long. Secondly, How do I get my wife’s aadhar card corrected?
